The first round of new trees have been installed on Cedars grounds!
Phased plantings are planned in various locations throughout the property. We are excited to continue adding shade and seasonal color as these new plantings take shape.
Take a walk around the property and enjoy!
The boilers are currently being turned back on, to get heat up and running.
Please see the attachment for use of your heat control.
In some cases it will seem that the control knob stops at the * (snowflake). If this is the case and you want to turn the heat off, you will need to turn the heat control knob to the right with some force until you see the 0. The same applies if you need more heat only you will turn the heat control to the left until you see numbers.
Please let us know if you have any concerns with valves being stuck. Sending a quick email would be best!
The Community Garden hosted a visit to the Wagon Hill Farm this week. The 139-acre historic and conservation property in nearby Durham, New Hampshire features trails, meadows, an orchard, wildlife education and protection and a model community garden. Master gardeners founded the garden, which is open to the public 7 days a week.Â
The field trip offered residents a chance to connect, network, and learn about best practices for running an organic community garden that benefits both individual gardeners and the public.
This special event took place as part of the 2026 programming.
The Gardening 101 Social runs every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, June through September, from 6:30 to 7pm and is open to all residents.Â
The highly anticipated playground equipment (swingset, rocker and spinner) is installed and ready for play!
We’ll be working on the finishing touches in the upcoming weeks, such as planting grass in the surrounding bare dirt spots and placing additional seating options in that area once delivered.
We also have a molded adaptive swing seat with safety harnesses available to be installed upon request.
Please note, the woodchips are currently “fluffy”, but will compact over time. If you could please try to keep them in the contained area, we’d appreciate it! 🙂
Big “thank you” to the Cedars Grounds Committee for all of their hard work in planning, researching, and bringing the initial phase of the playground relocation to life for our community.

Work on our new playground officially began today! The crew is busy preparing and leveling the ground, and it’s exciting to see the project finally underway and the new playground becoming reality.
Our buildings recently received a soft-wash siding cleaning, and the results are easy to see. The siding on our buildings looks fresh and clean, helping keep our community looking well maintained.
We appreciate the crew’s hard work throughout the project. They spent long days working in the hot summer heat and completed the job with care and professionalism!
