The Heat is on!

The heat is being turned on today, September 16th, 2025.

Please see the attachment for use of your heat control. In some cases it will seem that the control knob stops at the * (snowflake). If this is the case and you want to turn the heat off, you will need to turn the heat control knob to the right with some force until you see the 0. The same applies if you need more heat only you will turn the heat control to the left until you see numbers.

Community Meeting Recap

After the Community Meeting, some Board Members conducted a property walkthrough with Property Manager Ron.

During the tour, they visited the sewage pump house, one of the boiler rooms that supports our hot water heating system, the tool shed housing maintenance equipment, and the pool pump and filter system.

The group also took time to review the progress made by Chasco on the ongoing balcony and corner board reconstruction project. They also stopped at the playground to discuss the plans to rebuilt it after parts were removed earlier this year.

It was a productive visit and part of the Board’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving our property.

Photo 1 – typical boiler room for hot-water heat (each block of 3 buildings has one such boiler room)

Photo 2 – the colossal pumps to pump our sewage to the city sewer connection by Lafayette Rd. These two pumps serve our community as well as our neighbors at Springbrook. We own, operate and maintain the pumps but Springbrook shares the cost with us.

Photo 3 – the standby generator for the pumps, in case electricity goes out. It is periodically exercised, so you may hear it running occasionally.
